Means of transportation

Stockholm Arlanda Airport is the main international airport, located 42 km north of the Stockholm city centre, or 30 km north of Kista Convention Centre (and the conference hotel – Scandic Victoria Tower). The following means of transportation can be used to travel to your hotel.

Arlanda Express

Take the Arlanda Express train directly to Stockholm Central Station. This is the fastest option, with a travel time of 18 minutes, costing approximately 340 SEK each way. Trains run every 10–20 minutes.

When registering for CIRP 2025 you will receive a discount code in your confirmation e-mail. The code will be valid for 90 days, from May 28 to August 25, 2025.

Airport bus

  • From the airport terminal, follow signs to “Flygbussarna/Airport Coaches”. The bus stop is a 5–10 minute walk. The airport buses can take you to Stockholm Central Station or other central locations. Please be sure to check the destination and choose the correct bus.
  • Buy your ticket either from the ticket machines (cash or card) or via an App. The ticket costs approximately 130 SEK each way.

City bus and commuter train

Stockholm’s public transport system, including buses, commuter trains, trams and ferries, is operated by SL (Storstockholms Lokaltrafik). To travel, you need a valid ticket. Tickets can be purchased in the following ways:

  • Card payment: On buses and at gates, you can use a card to tap and buy a single ticket.
  • Physical sales points: Tickets are available at Pressbyrån, 7-Eleven, and SL customer service centres.

A single ticket costs 42 SEK and is valid for 75 minutes. An airport surcharge is added to commuter trains leaving/arriving at the airport. Reduced rates are available for seniors, students, and youth. More information can be found at www.sl.se/en.

There are bus and commuter train stations within walking distance at Arlanda City. Follow signs to “Arlanda City”.

Taxi

You can of course also go to the city centre by taxi, but please be aware that taxi fares in Sweden are not regulated, which means that it is up to each taxi company to set its own fares. Fares may vary and have no upper limit via the taximeter, which is why it is important that you check the price before your journey.

  • Airport taxis are available just outside the terminal areas. Expect to pay 700–900 SEK for the 30–40 minute trip into central Stockholm depending on traffic and time of day.
  • Most of the taxi companies offer a ‘fixed price’ from the airport to your destination. If you wish to have a fixed rate for your journey, ask the taxi driver before the journey starts if the company offers fixed rates.

We can recommend the following taxi companies:

Taxi Stockholm: +46 (0)8-15 00 00
Taxi Kurir: +46 (0)8-30 00 00
Sverigetaxi: +46 (0)20-20 20 20
